Procedure Description

The procedure is performed using a local anesthetic in an outpatient setting. Once numb, the handpiece is placed directly onto the skin of the underarm. Energy and heat are applied to the area, targeting the eccrine and apocrine glands (the glands that cause sweat and odor). Once the glands are treated, they do not grow back. One to two treatments are needed.

What To Expect With The Miradry Treatment

Our Seattle miraDry procedure lasts approximately one hour. You will be reclining during treatment, and your underarms will be numbed prior to the procedure. Most patients experience little or no pain or discomfort.

No Downtime With Miradry

Downtime after the procedure is little or none. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities immediately. Vigorous activity and exercise can typically be resumed within several days. You may experience some minor discomfort and soreness in the armpits for several days after treatment.
